Thanks for visiting willful words! My name is Elyse, and I’ve been writing poems for about eight years now. It started as a way for me to explore my emotions, but over time, this creative outlet has become a practice I am incredibly proud of. 

Because I grew up moving around a lot, my writing often returns to the same question: where is home? I have learned that answers don’t just appear; they are found through trial and error, and putting a pen to paper. Right now, I’m busy balancing my personal life with my studies and involvement at university. Through it all, I stay grounded by writing as often as I can.
