If Palestine is so precious

Then why does no one condemn the colonists?

Can it all be linked to unjust politics?

I am part Palestinian

When I was younger

I had no idea what that meant

What it should mean

Is culture, identity

A person from a place

Touching the Dead Sea

Instead, people look at me and think

Of the history they pretend to know

They think of the terrorists 

That they’ve seen on TV
