I wish I was a painter or a sketch artist

Like one of my new friends

I wish I was more like them

So that I could better project the beauty 

Of everyone all around me

I wish I was a sculptor or a dancer 

Like one of the people I just met

I wish I was more like them

So that I could better express pain and

Pleasure through the appearance of limbs

I wish I was a cartoonist or a hair stylist

A graffiti artist or a singer

A graphic designer or a photographer

A music producer or a movie director

Maybe expressing emotions would be easier

I am a writer, a poet no less!

Loud, demanding your attention

And anxious once I get it
