I don’t wanna be human

If it means placing blame

On the victims of harsh hate

If it means being close minded

And ignorant to evidence that contradicts

My own opinion

I don’t wanna be human

If it means being vain and being selfish

If it means low self esteem equals higher leveled lies

If it means craving violence

I don’t wanna be human

If cheating on taxes or cheating on a partner

Are not moral issues

If looking better is supposed to mean

That I’ll be happier

I don’t wanna be human

If it means stress and suicide and

Bad habits and addiction and

Rose tinted glasses when looking at

Certain social classes

And being less motivated by admiration

Than by envy

Gods, I do like to let jealousy get the best of me

Just for a day

Please could I be

Something other than human?
