Days

Then weeks

Then months

When I said that number they all thought that was how

Long we had been together

But it’s greater than that

My friends talk and clap and cheer me on

But the texts I receive from them

The look in their eyes when you’re standing that close to me

Is so different

What was it like

When I took your hand first and you didn’t

Have to ask?

Nothing can replace your smile
