The cast and crew are my second family.

The feelings I get from being 

with them are almost overwhelming - 

contagious excitement when we are getting ready, 

pure joy when we are performing, and 

a bittersweetness when the show has ended. 

There is a sense of completion 

when we take our final bows, 

accompanied by sadness 

when hugs go around.

Everyone’s makeup is running; I don’t want to leave.

I am afraid of what it might mean to 

step out of this dressing room. 

Please promise we can be like this again.
