A terrestrial crustacean - doesn’t that sound cool?

They have the ability to roll up in a ball. 

Right now, I am as lifeless as the one on my floor.

It rests facedown. I lay upwards;

Chest and arms and legs exposed

For touching, for taking, for harming.

Chop my still body in half,

Pick it up and toss it in the trash.

I am here to be disposed of. I am yours to discard.

Treat me with disrespect. That’s how most people treat insects.

Right now, I have less dignity than the one on my floor.

Can I at least ask you to fear me as you would an actual armadillidium?
